Muscles are so vital to our every day health and wellbeing, because bones pull muscles and muscles pull bones. You can teach and train your muscles to do anything. Muscles have memory, but they often forget. This forgetting is what most people refer to as “having knots.” To explain this concept, I am going to use a very recognizable muscle, your biceps. You know how someone says “make a muscle?” Yes, that one, every time you bend your arm that muscle which goes from you shoulder down to your elbow, shortens. With each bend eventually that bicep thinks the arm being only slightly bent is straight. The tension, along with metabolic waste in the muscle is so great is needs assistance in clearing out, thus reminding the muscle of its full potential. Funny fact, you must Relax, for this to happen!
